PREFACE
The intention of the publisher in presenting this study is to give on in-depth coverage of the
background, history and mechanical aspects of the world's first operational production jet aircraft.
Several picture-type books have been published and a few excellent magazine articles on
the Messerschmitt 262 have appeared.
When the opportunity was presented to utilize some of the original interrogation reports of the pilots of the Luftwaffe, the decision was mode immediately to bring out in book form these fascinating primary source materials.
